FM Transmitters


Here is a 25 year old Harris FM 25K Transmitter that is getting some extensive field repairs.
The work on this transmitter is being aided by Jim Offerdahl.  The reworked PA cavity and tube socket look like the day the transmitter came out of the factory.
Here is a better photo of Jim holding a part of the PA tube socket.
This photo shows the PA grid input circuit under the tube socket.  The original 50-ohm cable has been replaced by a larger diameter cable to prevent arc-through, which is what happened to the original cable.
