This is a custom item built for a customer. It is a cast aluminum box with a 7/8 inch EIA 50 ohm connector at the top and two N connectors on the side. Notice that the paint has been cleared away so that the mating connector makes good electrical contact with the box. There is an inner connector that goes through a hole in the box. |

The Inner connector, as seen from the inside, will not protrude into the box because it is held back by sheet copper that has a hole smaller than the Teflon support. The inner connector is soldered to a heavy copper buss that is in turn soldered to two Amphenol N connectors. This is actually a part of an impedance matching circuit using quarter wavelength transmission lines in parallel. |
| We often make special cables to go to such devices. They use high-quality Belden cable and Amphenol brand connectors. |
