It was a rainy day in
May, 2007, but the K225AQ Translator in Park Rapids, MN, was completed.
As you can see on the left photo, there was a bright spot in the sky
above the transmitting tower.
(photo to right) On the left is Jim Offerdahl of KKEQ Radio in Fosston, MN. He was checking the fine work done by volunteer carpenter Phil Nuemayer (on the right) of Park Rapids. The almost completed transmitter building is a very nice piece of construction and should work well for many years to come. Thanks also to Electrician Fred Brown of Kingsway Electric for volunteering his time and resources to make the electrical service work at this site. The translator is owned by Radio Assist Ministry, Inc. It rebroadcasts the Christian signal of KKEQ Radio in Fosston, MN. |

Jim is pleased with the
equipment installation.
On the Right is Mark Persons with his trusty spectrum analyzer checking and rechecking the signal to make sure it meets all FCC rules and regulations. There is a three-cavity receiver input filter and a three-cavity transmitter output filter to keep the signal as clean as possible. |
