The fence construction resulted in cutting a number of ground radials.
We were hired to repair the radials using an oxygen/acetylene torch and
silver solder. You can see the torch kit in the foreground.
Keeping ground radials in working order is vital to good AM
coverage. KLFD has a Broadcast Electronics AM500A Transmitter, which we sold and installed for them in 1999. |
