March 3, 2011: Josh Christensen was busy installing an aluminum-clad window in a new studio room at Slayton, Minnesota. |

Your intrepid Radio Broadcast Engineer Mark Persons was there doing the wiring. He even brought a desk-top soldering station to make it all go well. |

Wiring inside the audio console was done carefully and neatly after a copper ground buss was added across the front of the inside of the console. This buss prevents hum and crosstalk from occurring due to differences in ground potential between the audio console and audio sources. |

Radio General Manager Collin Christensen was very pleased at how the new
studio came out. He is the father of Josh....it is a family owned and
run operation. The console is an Arrakis 1200SCT 12-channel stereo unit that was recently refurbished by M. W. Persons. The new studio gives plenty of room for guests to be recorded or interviewed live on the air. |
