Jerry Collins has been in Radio Broadcasting since college in the 1960's. He is definitely a "died in the wool" broadcaster. We met him in 1977 along that path at WKKQ, now WTBX/WNMT Radio in Hibbing, MN. Jerry had us build a 100 KW FM station for him and rebuild his AM from a 5000 watts daytimer on 1060 KHz to a 10 KW day, 500 watt night five tower facility on 650 KHz. This powerhouse reaches all of northern Minnesota and into Canada.
We also built a 10 KW 3 tower station on 1200 AM for him in Cape Coral/Fort Meyers, Florida and a 10 KW 3 tower 540 KHz station for him in Salinas/Monterey, California.
Jerry and his wife Cathy are currently helping clients develop radio properties from their headquarters on the west coast, where the weather is warmer.
