National Association of Broadcasters
Convention...Las Vegas...April 2001
Theme: Embrace the Future

The National Association of Broadcasters' annual convention was held in Las Vegas April 21 - 26th, 2001.  According to the NAB, 1700 exhibitors showed their wares to 120,000 attendees.
Econco tube rebuilders are a regular at the convention.  (l-r) Lourdes Ramsey, George Badger, and Debbie Baker of Econco.  Then, Paula and Mark Persons.  Econco is number one in transmitter tube rebuilding.  George Badger recently joined Econco after leaving Svetlana.

See our Econco page and contact us when you are in need of an rebuilt tube.

Delta is probably best known for the TCA series AM Antenna Ammeters. Coaxial switches for AM and FM antenna systems are another popular item.

We started selling Delta products in 1979. Since then we have done about 25 AM Stereo installations at stations around the country for Delta.

Here is the Delta booth at the Convention.  Left to right are Joe Novak of Delta, Mark Persons, and Bill Fox of Delta.

Here are (l-r) Jim Gorman and Mark Persons at the  Convention. Jim is a friendly guy and his booth always attracts visitors and customers.

We have known Jim Gorman since 1976 and are were proud to become a dealer in 1979.  See EAS equipment on our Gorman page.

(l-r) Mark Persons, Bobby Cox of Kintronic Labs, and Jim Moser also of Kintronic Labs.  They are standing next to an AM antenna coupling unit with a filter making it possible for one tower to be used by two AM radio stations.

See the Kintronic page on our website.

Mark Persons with Dale Delapointe.  Dale worked as a radio broadcast engineer in Minnesota.  We first met him when he was working at KWAD Radio in Wadena, MN.  Dale is now the Analog products manager at Arrakis Systems in Ft. Collins Colorado.

We, at M. W. Persons and Associates, recently became a dealer for the Arrakis product line.  It is a natural extension of our work where we have installed dozens of Arrakis products.

No National Association of Broadcasters' Convention would be complete without attending the "Ham Reception" in the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.  Hams from around the world get together to swap stories and win door prizes.
