Tektronics 1503 Portable TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer), sometimes called a Metallic Cable Tester or Transmission Test Set. Use to test coaxial cables or twisted pair cable to determine length, up to 50,000 feet, or where a fault may be along the cable. For convenience, the nine C-cell battery pack has been modified with diodes and capacitors to simulate a battery pack. The unit normally runs on 120 VAC or batteries. With this revision, it runs only on 120 VAC, but can be easily converted back to battery and 120 VAC power. Has the X-Y Output Module (016-0606-00) option installed.
