Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons |
![]() |
Quite a crew of Radio Broadcast Engineers from the U. S. and around the world. It was four days of high-intensity training to get qualified to install HD (High Definition) digital on existing radio stations. My thanks to Harris for putting on this extremely informative and valuable class. |

This is your intrepid engineer, Mark Persons, smiling in front of a Harris HD FM Transmitter. Look at the ease of diagnosing and repairing this high-tech box. |

Here he is in the HD AM testing lab inspecting connections to a Harris DX-10 AM Transmitter and a Harris DAX-1 AM transmitter. |

Speaking of AM, Mark sizing up a coil and capacitor that will go in a 50 kilowatt AM directional antenna system. Harris is the largest broadcast transmitter manufacturer in the world. |
The stories go on and on. Stop in
again sometime. I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
