Tour of Broadcast Electronics in Quincy, IL.
February 8, 2008:  Radio Broadcast Engineers toured the Broadcast Electronics factory in Quincy, IL.  (l-r)  

Mark Persons of M. W. Persons and Associates, Inc.
Mark Young, Director of Engineer at Regent Broadcasting in St. Cloud, MN.
Shane Toven, Chief Engineer of Wyoming Public Radio in Laramie, WY
Dan Houg, Chief Engineer of KAXE Radio in Grand Rapids, MN    

The HD (High Definition) digital transmitter exciters were top on the list of "must see" items.  
Dan Houg is admiring an all solid-state Broadcast Electronics 10 KW FM transmitter while it is still under construction.
Mark is standing in front of a Broadcast Electronics 40 KW FM transmitter that will soon be shipped overseas.

What a place and what a day.    

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
