Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons |
![]() |
September 21, 2009:
Garrett Wollman from Boston, MA, visited Central Minnesota to photograph
radio stations, their towers, and their transmitter sites. He
stopped in to see us. As you can see, he loves towers including
the one in the entry way of our office. Garrett's Web site is: http://www.bostonradio.org |

This is an example of his
photographic work. It is the four tower antenna array at WGIR, 610 AM
Radio, at Manchester, NH. Garrett is also a friend of the well-known Scott Fybush. http://www.fybush.com |

Another of Garrett's photos is the tower farm at Duluth, MN. The first tower on the hill was a self supporter, seen as the second tower from the left. That tower was built in the late 1930's by WEBC Radio and used for their FM radio station in the old 42 to 49 MHz FM band. The moon is also seen in this sunset photo. |
The stories go on and on. Stop in
again sometime. I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
