Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons |
|
December 31, 2010:
The slightly improved economy helped us this year as business was up somewhat.
I installed new AM transmitters at
KLTF Radio in Little Falls, MN, at
WBHR Radio in Sauk Rapids,
MN, and at
KBUN Radio in Bemidji. In addition, I rebuilt two used transmitters
for WXYG Radio in
Sauk Rapids, MN. Imagine that, these are all AM stations.
In addition, I attended the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas, NV, and the Broadcasters Clinic in Madison, WI, this year. There has been no shortage of work as broadcast equipment arrived at the shop for repair on a steady and continuing basis. Interestingly, we receive equipment for repair from across the country. In 2010 alone, we either built or repaired equipment destined for Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Mexico, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, and American Samoa in the Pacific Ocean. |

The stories go on and on. Stop in
again sometime. I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
