August 9, 2010:
Mark
Persons completed the installation of a new Broadcast Electronics AM5E 5000 Watt
AM Transmitter at KLTF
Radio in Little Falls, MN. Mark is standing by the transmitter site
equipment rack. To the left is a Harris HT5 FM transmitter and on the far
left is the new Broadcast Electronics all solid-state AM transmitter.
The installation went very smoothly and the air-sound is excellent. It passed all FCC required occupied bandwidth and RF harmonic measurements at 5000 watts day and the night authorized 38 watts without the need for an RF power reduction network. It doesn't get any better than this. |
The stories go on and on. Stop in
again sometime. I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
