Engineer's Log of Mark W. Persons
Tower Light Replacement

January 4, 2011:  If it is going to happen, it is likely to happen under the worst of conditions.  There was a tower light failure on the KTCF Radio 350 foot tower north of Crosby, Minnesota.  Icing complicated a repair mission to the top.
Tower climber Anton Young showed up to do the work.  He brushed ice and snow off every step to the top doing his job and had a fair amount if ice on his face when returning to the ground.

Quote of the day:  You never have too much courage when taking on a tower problem...especially in the winter.

The stories go on and on.  Stop in again sometime.  I'll leave the soldering iron on for you.
