Gilbert Lodge Tech Room

Mark is in the Tech Room at Gilbert Lodge checking out computer systems in the two equipment racks.  The monitor that mark has his hand on is connected to a keyboard-video-mouse switch.  That switch makes it possible to check four of the five computers in the racks. 

There is also a router and a Bay Networks full-duplex computer network switch.  A back-up is there too in case trouble develops.

Behind Mark and below the electrical panels are the incoming cables including many ham radio coaxial cables.  Each goes to a surge protector on a copper strap which is connected to the electrical ground.

The telephone system at Gilbert Lodge is also in the Tech Room.  Wiring going in and out of it goes through 110 style cable connector blocks. This makes it easy to make system changes.
