Gilbert Lodge...Home of Mark and Paula Persons

Christmas at Gilbert Lodge

It is a winter wonderland out there.  Daytime temperatures are above zero, but below freezing.  Night temperatures below zero.

December 11, 2007:  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Gilbert Lodge.  This star is 65 feet in the air towering above the grounds on a cold winter evening just west of the Lodge.

Inside Gilbert Lodge, the majestic Christmas Tree stands proud in the Great Room for guests to see in awe.

It is great to have a roaring fire in the Grand Fireplace in the Great Room at Gilbert Lodge.  Paula is just visible watching the fire.

Gilbert Lodge is a short 2-1/4 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul where Christmas is also celebrated.  Details.

The new year came in with a cold snap.  The morning of January 2nd was -14 degrees F.  The wind chill brought it to -25 degrees.
