Static Dissipaters and AM Unipoles |
Dissipaters bleed off static charges that build-up on towers. The end result is they prevent lightning strikes or reduce the intensity of any strike that may occur. |

Unipole feed systems for AM towers generally have wider bandwidth for better audio performance. RF energy from an AM transmitter is fed into the unipole skirt wires. The tower is grounded at the base which gives better lightning protection. Also, isocouplers are not needed for other antennas on a unipole tower. Details We have installed more than a dozen unipole systems on towers in the Minnesota area. Unipoles can be great de-tuning devices for towers that re-radiate AM signals. |
